I hooked myself up with the Metal Gear Solid 4 game from Best Buy yesterday and I've got to say, it is one of the most realistic games I've ever played! It provides engaging cinematics with equally great game play. I've never seen anything quite like it.
It does play out in dark and closely confined areas, so those of you, like me, who become a little nauseous from playing, be careful! The best solution to that is to not sit too close to the TV and to keep on enough light around you.
I'm very impressed with the graphics and character movement. It didn't start out quite how I imagined. There were these robotic, two-legged war machines running around killing everyone, but then the game took me back 3 days. Now I find myself in the middle of a war zone! I was skipping through a lot of the movies to force the progression of the game a bit, because they are rather lengthy. I feel I'm catching on to the game a little better now. I keep picking up things that I can't figure out how to use... maybe I just need to read the manual?? Ha! At any rate, the game tells you that you are neither friend nor foe to those in the warzone, but I found myself engaging a lot of them in combat unneccessarily. Later I figured out that I can just bypass most of the combatants by crawling around and out of the way onto my destination. I do have to silence a few who may be blocking my path on my way there.
I highly recommend this game for hours of stealthy, strategic play! BTW, I've haven't played the earlier games of this title. At a cool $59.00, it is worth every penny!
